If you've ever walked through a cement plant, a power station, or any heavy industrial facility, you've probably seen a metal cabinet quietly humming away near a stack or duct, with tubes running in and out of it. The Simple Answer A gas analyzer is an instrument that measures the concentration of specific gases in a sample — things like oxygen (O₂), nitrogen oxides (NOx), carbon monoxide (CO), carbon dioxide (CO₂), or sulfur dioxide (SO₂).
